NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant to Sections 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law)
Notice is hereby given that as of May 1, 2024, the Assessor of the Town of Westerlo, County of Albany, has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, and that a copy has been filed with the Westerlo Town Clerk. The Tentative Assessment Roll is available for viewing until the Board of Assessment Review (BAR)/Grievance Day. The Assessor will also be available by phone or email (518-797-3111, ext. 1016 or assessor@townofwesterlony.com.) Please feel free to call with any questions or concerns.
The Board of Assessment Review (“BAR”) will meet at the Town Hall located at 933 County Route 401 on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 (“Grievance Day”) from 4pm until 8pm to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any persons believing him/her to be aggrieved. Grievances will be heard in person. All complaints must be received before the BAR closes the meeting on Grievance Day. Be sure to include whatever support you wish the BAR to consider with your application, it will not be accepted post-meeting. Applications and instructions for filing a complaint are available from your assessor (call and we will mail you a form), at the meeting, or online at https://tax.ny.gov.
