Per Town Board decision on 9/3/19, the Town Board and Workshop meetings dates have changed. The Town Board Workshop meetings will be held on the 1st Tuesday of every month and the Regular Town Board meetings will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month both at 7 p.m. unless otherwise advertised.

Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given, the Town of Westerlo Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on proposed Local Law No. 5 of 2019 a Local Law establishing a Local Government Code Enforcement Program on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 7:00 PM at the Richard H. Rapp Municipal Building (Town Hall) located at 933 County Route 401, Westerlo, NY. The local law provides for the administration and enforcement of the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code (the Uniform Code) and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code (the Energy Code) in the Town of Westerlo, New York. The local law is to be adopted pursuant to section 10 of the Municipal Home Rule Law except as otherwise provided in the Uniform Code, other state law, or other sections of this local law, all buildings, structure, and premises, regardless of use of occupancy, are subject to the provisions of this local law.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Westerlo Town Board has scheduled a Special Town Board meeting on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 6:30 PM at the Richard Rapp Municipal Building (Town Hall) 933 County Route 401, Westerlo NY for the purpose of the approval of both a Pilot Agreement and Community Host Agreement for Westerlo 01 NY, LLC. a commercial solar project located at 77 County Route 405, Westerlo, NY.

Historical Society Meetings are held at the Westerlo Reformed Church Hall on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7 PM.

Come visit the beautiful Veterans Photos Wall located at the Richard Rapp Municipal Building. The Town Historian, Dennis Fancher created the photo display for both living and deceased veterans from Westerlo, South Westerlo, Dormansville and Lambs Corners. If you are interested in having your photo on the wall or know someone who would like to be displayed at the Town Hall, please contact Dennis or his wife Sue at 518-797-3095 or at dsfancher@gmail.com. ZRC Committee Findings

The Zoning Recommendation Committee (ZRC) was formed by the Town Board to address potential changes to the town's Zoning Law regarding impacts of high volume horizontal hydraulic fracturing (HVHF) for Shale Gas Development (SGD).
