Why is it so important to send in your census?
- Sales Tax is divided by Population within the County. Sales Tax funds about 45% of our revenues for the Town’s budget
- Census information helps health providers predict the spread of disease through communities with children or elderly people
- When floods, tornadoes or earthquakes hit, the census tells rescuers how many people will need their help
- The 2020 census will determine congressional representation
- Forecasting future housing needs for both young and elderly adults
- Setting community goals
